February - October..

I put this to see my progress.. I wonder if the progress will be the same from February - Ocober 2009 :) Hopefully for armwrestling it will be good, it's amazing how much you can do in one year with good work and food.. :) Baby face is the same ;)

Dead blog is waking up... :)

I am so sorry I STILL haven't put up videos from Worlds (and now also Italy) I am still missing a part for my computer. But I have the videos, and they won't change or disappear, so you will get to watch them, I promise :) :)

Lately I have been busy with work and training,.. It's all I do now. Even Chrismas eve I was working.. and New Years eve... hah.. :) Never any partying.. But I need money more than anything now.. I want to go to Golden Arm in Sweden in February, World Challenge in March, England in May.. ++ I really could need a sponsor for this (and fooood :))

Before Christams I was in Italy. I won the competiton, it was cool :) I am very thankful I got the chance to compete, it was SUPER!! :) All people were great, and especially Tonya Todd was great, and wow, I envy her figurebody! :D :) and I hope to meet her again very soon! It was very nice to see Normunds again also :) Of course :)

My wrestling in Italy was not super, I was almost sleeping at the table, I was slow and not on fire, only in final match I felt a little better.... I hope, and think, I will be A LOT better when I meet with Sarah 31st of January in UK! :) :) In England I will see Zhanna again also, how COOL! :D :D :D I can't wait to go.. :)

I am now back to work.. No 100% job, but I don't want that.. I need the freedom to work when I can. I hope to get a lot of work (not because I love to work, who does?, but because I really need the money!), but I need the possibility to say no when I have other plans, like competitions. If I work fulltime it is a lot more difficult!! I decided a long time ago to have one "free" year after I finished my education, but people are already nagging all the time about when I will get a "real job".. Please leave me alone :) Now I have the possibility to put Armwrestling first, and I will, I won't live for my job and have a "normal" life, at least not yet, I live to do what I like to do. Im only 22, I am NOT ready to grow up :) I only live once, and Im am for sure not wasting it on regular things, way to many people do, I want more :) :)

Maybe I will get a dog, like normal families does, opposite from what I want :P , haha, but I need a training partner for my mountain cardio ;) Me and my coach will maybe go and check one out, it's a caucasian ovtcharcha (kavkazkaya avcharka) 9 months old, it's good, I don't want a puppy. These dogs are so big and cool. But we'll se, tough decision.. And I need money to take care of it, its like having a kid... except dogs are smarter ;)

Clash of Titans

Today was the great strongman competition Clash of Titans held! My coach Lars Rorbakken won, as I thought he would! Check out all the results I have put up (in Norwegian :) ) Best competition ever held! :D :D ;) Now I am really tired and going to bed, so I won't be joining the crew for the afterparty, 2 afterparties a year is enough anyway ;P

Change in plans! I will still go to ITALY, but compete in women cathegory -65kg, only 6 girls :) , no supermatch. I like this more, I prefer many different competitiors rather that one, this will be cool!! :D Now I am really really looking forward to it, already I feel more hungry than yesterday :) :)

The World Championship in Canada :)

Finally I'm back.. :) We came Monday, but Still not sleeping at night as I have big problems with jet lag, but Im just glad I didn't have any problems in Canada like almost everyone had.. :) I'm not working this week, so no worries :)

This was my best World Championship thanks to guys in Latvia.. I came 4th (of 9) left and right 65kg, had too much weight to cut, big misscalculation for weigh ins, so I decided not to cut and just eat and go to 65.. :) I felt bad after right arm competition, I really wanted a medal, but I'm not complaining, my goal is to get better every year, and this year I felt I got to a new level..

Latvians did great, although I think Zhanna was disappointed, BUT she lost to Brazilian woman twice in right arm, and the Brazilian won the whole weight cathegory... So Zhanna was not at all bad, and she will be back stronger!! Endy came 8th in left among 19 women!! :-O Janis got 2 bronze medals in a tough 75kg cathegory!! And superman Norsis got his GOLD in right arm, EASY... I think there were a lot of surprised faces after his easy win.. He played his way to the top. Weather Semerenko was in a good or bad shape, still I have never seen anyone beat him like that. I will put up videos.. :)

Our best guys from Norway was Frode Haugland with his GREAT 6th place in right arm in the tough 75kg cathegory, he will be killer after a few years... and Asle Kvamsdal who came 5th and 6th in junior heavyweight, which is also super :-O The team this year was really cool travelling with, I can't say how cool I think it wqas.. Not stressing no matter what happened... I don't think stress has ever helped anyone ever, relax and thing will be fine :) :) :) :) If just everyone could be like that, the world would be very peaceful :)

First thing that happened to us was a plane cancelled, shame on SAS for not telling us until we were at the airport 4 in the morning.. :) Nobody got angry, we were all just smiling, woulnd't help a s*** getting mad.. :) So, we went back home and next day (NIGHT!!) we were off to Frankfurt.. Next flight was for Seattle, almost 11 hours, and we didn't get seats next to each other, just spread around the airplene.. But, no complains.. After about 22 hours we came to Kelowna (after changing flight in Seattle), and of course we were not staying at the SUPER main hotel, another "problem"... But, after some jokes about how we never get to stay at the main hotel, we were OK... :) Small funny things happened all the way. Asle lost his cell phone (got it back next day) but didn't seem to care too much, and soooo cool he wasn't stressed out, I hate when people get crazy about "small" issues.. ... Things alwasy seems to work out :) All guys were so relaxed, and I could go anywhere with them, it's very easy to be "the mum" (team captain) when I have children like that... :)

The whole championship was GREAT! There was a lot of interesting matches.. Now I need a firewire cable for my camera and I will put up LOTS of videos!! :) Even the one where Babayev and Liliev is pulling after the competition ;)

Too bad I don't have any photos now, only sick ones from afterparty... BUT videos will be worth waiting for, I will have them ready this weekend, I just need to buy that cable.. :) Afterparty was cool btw, its the only time of year when we (or I..) get the chance to be crazy.. :P What happens at afterparty stays at afterparty.. (no not really..haha).. Armwrestling world is full of gossip.. :) I won't say more....

I can't wait till next championship... Armwrestlers are the best people in the World!!!

SATURDAY Lars' big competiton will be in Bergen!! And, big surprise, Arild Haugen will compete...!!! Don't miss this chance to see Arilds' last competition before he enters the world of boxing ;)

SUPERMATCH IN ITALY
Next weekend I will go to Italy for a supermatch with Sarah Bäckman, this will be very interesting. It is hard to "get ready" for a competiton right after another, Im too relaxed, Im not super hungry for this victory right now, BUT I will work on it, and hope to be well prepared on 20th of December! And I hope to get one special good guy to go also for a match up.... *crossing fingers*
